Phase exits, Phase gates, Decision gates, Stage gates, and Kill points represents the same meaning. It is the point in time during the execution phase of the project where the stakeholders or the sponsor review the progress and decide on whether to continue or kill the project.
This is a PM Technique in which the project is divided into stages (or phases) separated by gates.
