Directions of Influences

This tool is used in order to classify the Stakeholders according to their influence on the project.

Upward. Senior management, the Sponsor, the Steering Committee.

Downward. The Team or specialists contributing knowledge or skills in temporary capacity.

Outward. Stakeholders outside the project Team such as Suppliers, Government, the Public, End-users or Regulators.

Sideward. The peers of the Project Managers who are in competition for scarce (vFR. rare) resources or who collaborate with the Projects Managers in sharing resources or informations.
